Bulb Planting Basics


​Begin the bulb planting process by preparing the soil. To do that, turn the soil over and loosen it to a depth of 10” to give the roots a start. You must have good drainage or the bulbs will rot, therefore add compost to correct any drainage issues. Plant each bulb twice as deep as it’s height, with the pointy side up. If you can’t distinguish which side is the pointy side, plant the bulb on it’s side. Plant bulbs in groups for impact--odd numbers are better,
