Schedule of Classes and Events

Kale Container Garden

Wednesday,  September 17th 1:30pm -2:30pm

Wednesday,  September 17th 6:30pm -7:30pm
Create your very own, customized Kale Container.  Giant rosettes of frilly leaves ― in shades of lavender, deep rose, pink, and white ― make ornamental kales a favorite addition to the fall garden. These showy cabbage relatives tolerate cool weather and their color intensifies as the weather gets colder.  They are ideal for growing in pots to display on porches, patios, or beside entryways.  Please call 315.677.0286 to register.  Class cost: $30.00 ($7.50 registration)

Kale Fest

Saturday and Sunday,  September 20th and 21st
It's decorative AND delicious! It's healthful AND beautiful! It's KALE, and Carol Watson Greenhouse is hosting the fourth annual Kale Festival at the greenhouse. We live in a perfect kale-growing climate! Learn how to make kale chips (and sample freshly made ones); discover our favorite kale (and other fall vegetable) recipes; learn how to use kale in arrangements and as a table decoration for the upcoming holidays. There will be cooking demonstrations, fun for the kids and more! The event is free, and we hope to see you there
